TimiX® is a new concept in lighting and projection control, specially developed by Mastervision, for lighting architects and designers. This concept is a combination of the TimiX® software, developed in Revolution, and the TimiX® network hardware. "We used Revolution to develop TimiX®, because it has all of the different development resources which we need in a single package."
Revolution provided all of the functionality we needed in a number of different areas, including the ability to deploy applications for the Windows and Mac OS X platforms, and network connectivity using virtual ports and IP connections. Revolution also enabled us to quickly build a professional user interface, allowing us to concentrate on the underlying functionality of this sophisticated application.
| Lighting control The TimiX® software enables control of full-scale commercial lighting rigs through a graphical interface and custom site maps. Automated lighting sequences can be created and run continuously. Standard DMX, RS485 and IP (lighting and data transfer protocols) are supported. |

Imager machine TimiX® Imager machines are able to serve incredible pictures, movies or special effects in real-time, providing a high quality video signal for your projectors or displays. Professional XLR analog audio or video BNC analog connectors are used. |
| Full network control TimiX® systems are designed for complex lighting and projection installations with lights, sound and video media. Lighting sequences can be activated with the TimiX® Sequence Launcher or remotely via the Internet using the TimiX® remote internet tools, enabling full control of your site from anywhere in the world. |

Revolution's integrated Revolution scripting language has allowed us to implement our own "TimiX® language" which allows the lighting engineer to flexibly program modern robotic projectors, and the capacity to control all aspects of the display. Stability is a crucial factor for TimiX®, as, once configured, installations operate 24 hours a day for months at a time without human supervision.

Time intervals between images and special effects can be defined, and the result is transmitted through the network to the display hardware. In the screenshot above this one, the result can be seen as giant images projected on the walls of the site! |
