With Rev I can make changes and try out new ideas as quickly as I can dream them up. Creating shareware applications with Rev is like any other creative activity, start with an empty canvas or a basic concept in mind and as you put it together, other uses or directions seem to pop out. Rapid application development enables one to follow creative instincts to see where those ideas lead. Almost any software can be built with Rev...if there is something I cannot figure out it's a safe bet that someone in the friendly Rev community can point me in the right direction. I also make tools with Rev to track shareware purchases, customers, send and track press releases, upload new versions...all the routine chores of a shareware business.
Rev also plays an important role in my workshop-travel business, Techie Tours. When setting up custom itineraries for private tours, we create calendars which aid planning and provide vital information for our customers. These small custom database applications impress and are a great help to our customers. Other applications calculate hotels costs, provide restaurant information, update information concerning archaeological sites, create and upload web pages for tour groups...almost any repetitive information task is done with Rev.
As a creative tool Rev has become a important part of my life.
