Revolution 2.8.1 Released

Runtime Revolution 2.8.1 Released With Over 240 Improvements

Open Community Partnership Yields Highly Robust Release

May 16, 2007. Edinburgh, Scotland. Runtime Revolution Ltd, the leader
in multi-platform rich media and application development tools,
announces the release of Runtime Revolution 2.8.1, its flagship
product.

Runtime Revolution is the developer of the Runtime Revolution
cross-platform rapid application and media project development tool.
Runtime Revolution can compile to the following platforms: Microsoft
Windows (98SE, 2000 Pro, XP, Vista), Mac OS X PPC, Mac OS X Intel,
Linux and Solaris - giving full ability to develop, test and debug
cross-platform applications.

The Runtime Revolution Open Community Group consists of over 500
participants who participated in the six month development and testing
cycle of the release.

"Vendors find themselves in a position where they narrow participation
and so take greater risks of reliability, or produce solid but
incremental updates. Revolution 2.8.1 is the result of direct customer
participation in the process but does not disappoint with the features
included," said Kevin Miller, CEO of Runtime Revolution.

Revolution 2.8.1 includes the following major improvements:

Web Browser Object. The Revolution browser object is a fully scriptable
web browser (Internet Explorer on Windows; Safari on Mac OS X) for
scripting anything related to the browser: HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Flash
and more.

Embedded Fonts. Embed fonts into a Revolution application to gain
greater control over cross-platform look and feel.

SQLite Integration. Revolution has a built in database engine based on
the open source SQLite database.

Array Improvements for Business Applications. Transform data instantly
with added capabilities to parse row and column values in matrixes.

Private Handlers. Protect application logic by making it private to the
function that calls it.

Windows Vista Support. Revolution applications run natively on Windows
Vista operating system.

Revolution is a development environment of firsts: it is the first
non-Apple rapid application development environment with true,
Universal binary compilation. It is also the first and only development
environment with direct, native compilation for the highly secure San
disk U3 (technology soon a part of Microsoft) smart drive platform.
Revolution can also run directly off of a secure U3 compatible drive.

Revolution Enterprise 2.8.1 has a USSRP of $999. Anyone with an active
update plan can immediately download and use Revolution 2.8.1. A
discount is available if plans are updated before they expire.
