Appsnapper Released

Appsnapper for U3 Provides Personalized Smart Drive Computing

Automatically links documents to U3 installed applications and cleans

up after PC crashes

Nov. 24, 2006 – Runtime Revolution Ltd, the makers of the
cross-platform development tool Revolution, and U3, the company that
transforms storage-only USB flash drives into smart drives that have
password protection, as well as store and run Windows applications, ,
today introduced AppSnapper ™ for U3, a must-have utility for anonymous
computing with smart flash drives.

AppSnapper links documents to applications located on U3 smart drives.
When a document is launched, AppSnapper intercepts the launch and
automatically directs it to the appropriate U3 smart application stored
on the smart drive. With an AppSnapper “snap,” users never launch an
application on the host computer.

In addition, AppSnapper also includes a utility called CrashZapper™. If
a PC crashes while a user is using a U3 smart drive, CrashZapper checks
the system to determine if the computer crash caused any information to
be left behind on the host computer and if so, it cleans it up.

“Mobile computing first meant carrying a laptop, but with a U3 smart
drive consumers can carry both their applications and documents on
their keychains and work with any host PC wherever they go. U3 smart
drives let users password protect and encrypt their information, but an
operating system still assumes they want to run applications from the
host machines. The included CrashZapper also closes the door on a
potential security risk,” said Kevin Miller, CEO of Runtime Revolution
Ltd.

CrashZapper is a $9.95 utility included free with AppSnapper.
AppSnapper is $9.95 and can be installed on up to three U3 smart
drives. Volume licensing is available for corporations and universities
and other large sites where anonymous computing on widely accessible
systems can sometimes put data at risk.

“We’re pleased to offer AppSnapper to U3 smart drive users,” said
Esther Kruijver, U3 Vice President of Platform. “It is the perfect
solution for smart drive users because it makes accessing files with
the preferred application seamless and simple, which strengthens the
overall U3 smart drive user-experience.”

AppSnapper can be purchased immediately from the U3 Software Central
Store http://software.u3.com/. Detailed information and multi-licenses
are available on the AppSnapper website at http://www.appsnapper.com.

Runtime Revolution is a key supporter of the U3 smart drive platform
and also the developer of its namesake product, Revolution. Revolution
lets developers and consumers quickly and easily create applications
and multimedia solutions on one platform, then deploy them on Windows,
MacOS X (PPC and Intel), Linux and Solaris - with an option enabled,
users can also automatically generate applications compatible with the
U3 security specification. Runtime Revolution solutions begin at $49
and are widely known for allowing users, who have no previous
development experience, to create powerful applications.

Operating a U3 smart drive is easy. Consumers can simply plug a U3
smart drive into a PC’s USB port and use the intuitive U3
Launchpad menu, which pops up on the computer desktop, as their gateway
to popular Windows applications loaded on the smart drive. When the U3
smart drive is removed, the computer returns to normal and the user
retains all personal information. U3 smart drives are available from 18
hardware manufacturers worldwide, including SanDisk, Verbatim, PNY,
Memorex and Kingston in North America. Consumers can compare and
purchase U3 smart drives by visiting www.U3.com.
